Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is the chief authority for Saudi Arabia's healthcare system. It sets health policy and regulation, supervises public and private healthcare institutions, and runs the largest share of government hospitals and primary healthcare centres.

Under the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the Vision 2030 programmes, the ministry is improving access to care, modernising facilities, expanding the role of the private sector and moving to a value-based model centred on primary care.
