Holy Places Cleaner
Keeps the courtyards, prayer areas and facilities of the holy places clean around the clock, without getting in the way of worshippers.
Main duties
- Mop, wash and dry the marble floors of courtyards and prayer areas.
- Operate floor-scrubbing and sweeping machines safely.
- Empty bins and keep restrooms and ablution areas clean.
- Work in coordinated teams so that cleaning never blocks worshippers.
- Report spills, damage or safety hazards to the supervisor straight away.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights and peak seasons such as Ramadan and Hajj.
- Respectful conduct that honours the sanctity of the holy places.
- Previous cleaning experience is an advantage.
Work environment
- Indoor and outdoor work, often in hot weather.
- Work among large crowds, around the clock.
