Electrician
Installs, tests and maintains electrical panels, lighting and power systems, so that lighting, sound and air-conditioning never stop for worshippers.
Main duties
- Inspect and test distribution panels, breakers and wiring.
- Maintain and replace lighting units and fittings.
- Find and fix electrical faults quickly and safely.
- Apply isolation, lock-out and electrical safety procedures.
- Keep records of tests, readings and repairs.
Requirements
- Diploma or vocational certificate in electrical installation or maintenance.
- Experience with low-voltage panels and building electrical systems.
- Able to use a multimeter and other test equipment.
- Professional accreditation where regulations require it.
Work environment
- Work in technical rooms and public areas.
- Shift work, with call-outs for emergencies.
